Those houses close by are trashed. Like knocked off the foundation, ceilings caved in, fences knocked down. Looks like a war zone for blocks

We received a neighborhood email, stating that roofs were blown off hundreds of houses, people’s baseboards inside their houses flew off the walls, cars were flipped, etc.
It showed on weather radar at the time it occurred.
I’ve never heard or experienced anything remotely like that.

You must’ve been sound asleep, if downtown residents and folks all the way to the Ship Channel felt/heard it.

Now that I think about it, I did wake up around 430 when the dog got on the bed but I didn’t really think anything about it

None known yet. A couple possibly inured, but no official word.

That was likely it.
The dog was probably unnerved a little/shaken.

Other small explosions were reported at the facility, which was identified by KTRK as Watson Grinding and Manufacturing, a machining and manufacturing company. The facility owner told KTRK that a propylene tank was believed to have exploded.

They’re about to pay for hundreds of homes, autos, businesses, etc.
Well their insurance company is, I guess.
Cant even imagine the dollar figure attached.

I live 7 miles away from the explosion. My wyze cam caught the blast from inside the garage and rocked the house some. No damage seen so far.
