Clean bathrooms, no truckers
Lots of food. Good all in one pit stop.

Now going east or west is our first stop.

Buc-ees is a rite of passage for those who crave societal approval after going to the beach or Disney

I mean it was a popular stop long before they expanded out of Texas

A gas station that doesn't make you feel depressed/wanting to off yourself while staring at the flickering light, yellow walls, and piss everywhere.

I do think it's kind of odd that people wear Bucees tshirts and put stickers on their cars.

That being said, it's definitely a great place to make a pit stop on the road.

I asked the same question to my Texas buddies before they took me to one. They gave me the grand tour while on our way to New Braunfels from Katy. It was not that impressive honestly.

Until later I stopped at one on a later trip.
Always a pump available
DEF on tap
I can leave my truck at the pump and not feel like I am in the way
Spotless bathrooms
Beef Jerky by the pound
ANY SNACK you want at hand
Mini-Walmart with ALL registers open
BBQ Sandwiches hot and fresh

That's a few things

When I get defensive about people mocking and making fun of the South, I think about the god DAMN Buc-ees obsession,... a god damn gas station, and then a sense of understanding and justification sets in, and then I'm alright and indeed at peace.

Why do we have this thread once a week? Did the other 500 threads not cover this topic enough?

Yeah, and when people start posting selfies of themselves inside a Buc-ees, or posting trinkets they’re purchasing, that’s pretty weird.

I have a 3 and 5 year old. In the past 6 months they have found a new love. Buc-ee the god damned beaver.

There is now one about 2 hours south of Atl that we hit on our way down to FL, adn there is one East of Bham that we hit when going to MS. My kids love it. Gives them something to look forward to. And i love their Jerky from behind the deli counter.

It's all about time. No waiting to pump gas because they have so many pumps & no waiting for a restroom because they have so many of them.

It's similar to the weird fascination with In-n-Out. It's a part of identity tied to where you grew up/live, but in the end it;s a fast food burger and a gas station.

It’s a decent place to stop while on the road but anyone claiming they have great BBQ cracks me up. It’s a glorified truck stop with a miniature Walmart shopping section inside of it.

Bathrooms so sanitary and squared away that the Virgin Mary herself would be proud to go in there and take a dump

Starting pay for a cashier is higher than the pay for a rookie Police Officer in Baton Rouge.

Let that sink in.
