They’ve been off about 2 weeks. It’s prescribed, but pharmacy has been out and don’t know when they will have it.

The shite made me incredibly depressed. I would hone in on negative thoughts and run doubt rabbit holes of what ifs with it. Never had any type suicidal thought until I took it.
Fortunately, I was very self aware and of a mature age and recognized the effects and took myself off it. A younger, less mature individual would not realize this and know to stop taking the drug.
My children will not be taking any type of medicine for adhd.

Certainly will make you concentrate better. However, it can cause high blood pressure, insomnia, marked anxiety, and weight loss with loss of appetite. If you use it regularly, it has high addiction potential. Once addicted, you can’t function or think without it.

I've been taking Adderall for about 8-9 years to counter the effects of other meds I take. When I run out of Adderall I'm 100% useless and feel like total crap. The longest I've gone without Adderall is 2 weeks and the withdrawal symptoms never eased during the two weeks. I'm legit scared for the day when I no longer have it. I don't know what I'm going to do.

I'd take modafinil over amphetamine all day.
I've had both. The effects are relatively similar. I'd even say that I had a much better experience with modafinil.
The come-down was much less intense with modafinil as well.
A couple of days being a little sluggish with a slight headache vs my Adderall experiences in college where I felt like total shite for multiple days after a bender.

What daily dose and did you hop off that dose before the 2 weeks or try a taper?

I haven’t taken an adderall since I took the bar exam 100 years ago, but I loved the stuff. Gave me a euphoric feeling and could get anything done that needed to get done. Main side effect for me was that I would eat entire bags of Doritos and drink 2L of coke while I was on it.
