Mine expired in May. I need someone to give me a fake one. I bought the little machine to try and erase the code but it just comes right back after you turn the car off and on

In East Baton Rouge no fricks given. Makes sense seeing as that we have all of these other problems abound.

The place I’ve been going to for years doesn’t look at a damn thing. I pull up. They take all my paperwork. Write whatever down in the little book, scrape the old one off and put the new one on. Never heard of anyone being rejected because of a CEL.

That doesn’t work if the OP is in a Parish where they test omissions. It has to be “smog ready”.

its a shame the truck doesnt have wheels on it so he can drive 20 minutes to another parish without emission tests to get his brake tag

I've been driving in Louisiana now for 15 years. I've had a valid sticker for ~3 of them. Total tickets = 0.

But yeah, cops will notice an expired sticker before they notice a missing one (color coding). Louisiana doesn't require front license plates so the front of your vehicle alone says nothing. And for the the an officer to observe both the front and back of your vehicle you either need to be doing something else wrong or get stopped at a stupid checkpoint.

I park in a private lot in NOLA, and mine is 2016.

I shaved it off and haven’t given a frick,

I do this too.

My brother got 2 inspection sticker tickets in one day.

Hilarious.

30 day grace period built into the statute. Go on November 1 and let them fail it and then you get another 30.

The machine picks up a recently unplugged battery. Have to drive long enough to reset. If not mistaken, they check your residence to make sure you are from the parish for the test.

Haven't bothered with that unbelievably stupid shite in 2+ years. It's an unjust law.

If the car is registered in one of the five parishes where emissions scam is a thing, it must be inspected in one of those five parishes, champ.

Again, that doesn’t work either. If you live in a Parish with emissions testing it has to be tested in that Parish where the vehicle is registered.

What the OP should do is drive to autozone or wherever and get the code pulled and post it here. Guarantee someone here will be able to guide him how to get rid of the CEL code.

If your vehicle is registered in any of the 5 parishes of EBR, WBR, Livingston, Ascension or Iberville, no other parish’s shops can issue your inspection sticker.

If you fail, you have to go back to that shop with proof of repair with in 30 days.

When the code reader cable from those shops computer is plugged into your vehicle, it flags the vin for all the other shops.

If the computer does not show a completed drive cycle from clearing the codes, you don’t get a sticker.

Why do you have inspections still? Or why don’t you go to shade tree place to get one?

Thanks for all the comments. Code P1133 and P1153. After repairs reset codes and drove for 112 miles. Took in for inspection sticker and was told didn't drive it far enough. Drove 20 more miles and the light back on. Reset codes, removed battery cable and then drove for 40 miles back on again.
FYI I live in EBR Parish and can't just take to another parish for inspection without vehicle and drivers license being registered in that parish...Guess it's dealer now.

You replaced both of the heated O2 sensors?

And do you happen to have an aftermarket air intake on it? Like a K&N?
