Louisiana now has over 9,000 cases of COVID-19.

No, it has probably had over three times that number. Many had no symptoms or very mild symptoms and never got tested. Many are either recovered or on the road to recovery. There is no stopping it unless the plan is for all of us to stay at home for all the time it will take to come out with a vaccine.

Thank yall for proving my points. I was just echoing some of the bullshite that some of our "community leaders" tell their sheeple. This is why social media is going to destroy us and not C19.

Keep in mind the state of Louisiana is only 4.6 million residents.

Florida has 21 million residents, they have 7,765 cases as of yesterday.

Based on population size this is bad, and we should be concerned

Where does Florida rank in testing per capita?
LA is top 3

Are you appalled by how incarcerated people are being treated during the COVID-19 crisis? Have you called elected officials and the Department of Corrections today? If not, give them a call and demand protection for members of our community who are in jail or prison.

Gov. John Bel Edwards: 225-342-0991
U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, MD: 202-224-5824
U.S. Representative Ralph Abraham, MD:
if you live in Central Louisiana call 318-445-0818
if you live in Northeast Louisiana call 318-322-3500
if you live in South Louisiana call 985-516-5858

Louisiana Probation and Parole Board - 225-342-5422 (ask them to release the holds on people booked on non-violent crimes)

OK, so when it is supposedly important to follow the guidelines forced upon us by our government, you want to release a bunch of people who have a track record of breaking actual laws?

As a state wide elected official once told me, in Louisiana we have three fundamental traits- we are poor, we are fat and we are stupid. Virtually every problem or situation we encounter, whether local, national or global is exponentially amplified by at least two out of three.

With COVID, it appears all three are in play.
