I eat 3 eggs every morning… I’ve been doing this for at least the last 15 years… I remember a dozen eggs being as low as 79¢ sometimes

agreed.
“previous administration”. between naps, TV reruns, and ice cream treats….President Houseplant was being told where to sign by far left wing progressives in his cabinet.

You mean like every election? Trump has more votes than any.

I just saw a dozen at the little AG store by my house was $10.50. Crazy. They were jumbo size but that's all they had in stock. I'd expect those to be $3.50 or so. Seems like a dozen was $1.50 not too long ago.

Thanks Trump.

And given his involvement with Wuhan, and using that as part of his depopulation plans, avian flu is child’s play. And you nailed it, eggs and chicken have remained cheap protein relative to others, and apparently he hasn’t been buying chicken farms like he has other farm and crop land. Worth remembering that he is one of the largest private landowners in Louisiana.
He wants to starve us out, guess that wasn’t happening fast enough.

Don’t you have a boat to catch?

After deer season is over, we call up deer processors and ask if they have any unclaimed meat. Often we are told if you come get it today, you can have it for free.

But horse hair said... But hey, we get gulf of America and Canada as a state!!!
Trump's been in office for 4 days and eggs haven't gone down in price
He's a failure!!!
Last week It was amazing to see those that minimized or even ignored inflation for years start taking victory laps less than 100 hours into Trump’s presidency and due to issues that started under Biden.
quote:
Volatile egg prices have been a part of the grocery shopping experience partly because of inflation, but also because of an avian influenza, or bird flu, that made its way to the United States in 2022. That influenza, caused by the H5N1 virus, has infected or killed 136 million birds thus far.
But the outbreak has recently intensified. More than 30 million chickens — roughly 10 percent of the nation’s egg-laying population — have been killed in just the last three months, to prevent the spread of the disease. It could take months before the supply of egg-laying chickens returns to the normal level of around 318 million, roughly the equivalent of one chicken per person.
Even recent pricing report was about December and released while Biden still in office.

Beef, coffee and orange juice are among groceries with higher prices,
I heard the harsh winter has NOT affected the orange crop.

A lot of poors struggle to buy eggs weekly, even when they were cheaper.

My family hasn’t paid for eggs in over a decade

One of my aunts has chickens. Her husband (my uncle) ran a gas/oil change/tires station and when he sold it he started to just do tires. He had a big enough garage to do it at home and sense my aunt would have more than enough eggs she started giving them to his customers. People started calling her asking if they could buy eggs from her.
They are better than the store bought eggs, but depending on where you live, you have to make sure coyotes can't get to the chickens, because if they can they will frick shite up and you will know it before even getting to the chicken coop because there will be feathers all over the place.
Someone I know who has a chicken coop, he put bricks up on all sides and a mobile roof that he closes at night. He has a board he puts in front of the gate and if you didn't know there was a chicken coop there you wouldn't even see it. He sees paw prints around it from time to time, but nothing has gotten to the chickens yet. Overall they are really not that much work as long as you have them somewhere where no other animal can get to them.
