This guy is a close to Saban-like as a coach can get in the sport of VB. Multiple championships, highly demanding, high horsed, and intimidating. He essentially built the entire AAU volleyball series after USA Volleyball banned him from their sanctioned events.
The dude held godlike power over the sport for a long time until several rivals emerged and widdled him down to size.
He runs several highly regarded Summer camps that guarantee 10k reps in 3-4 days. I've actually modeled a number of drills and skills teaching from his work at those camps.

I dont want to get into victim shaming, but still. Who would let someone rape them that many times? Unless you were held captive or some shite.

These girls are groomed to do whatever Rick says from the ages of 8 to 18
Here's most of their career arcs
age 8 to 17, train 3x week year round, also do separate weight training. Travel the country playing in tournaments for 6mos each year.
The goal from Age 8 Day1 is to earn a spot on Rick's coveted 18yo national elite team. It's pushed and pressured in their practices. The girls who make it go on to major Div I schools and some are olypians.
It is as close to a cultlike atmosphere as you can get in sports. These girls bust their behinds to earn their way to that coveted team only to find out that the crystal palace has some serious cracks.
Imagine being a girl who has dedicated her entire childhood towards reaching the heights of her sport only to find out that the hero they worship has some serious issues. The parallels to the USA Gymnastics doctor are very close.

Sheriff Scott Israel allegedly impregnated an under age girl in FL, works in law enforcement.
Lots of abuse in sports and entertainment though. Young impressionable girls, competitive environment, win at all cost mindset from everyone involved.
