re: Ex-Minneapolis cop told other officers 'you shouldn't do this' during Floyd's arrest

You’re going to be real mad in about a year when those three walk because your feelings don’t count in court.
Bookmarked to recount your glorious idiocy in about a year.
What facts were wrong, how do your feelings negate these facts? 4 cops were a party to homicide. There was a small crowd recording the homicide, shouting at the cops that they were killing a man, at least 1 civilian tried to physically intervene but was thwarted. Multi city riots resulted from this.
If your rebuttal is he had a health condition. Cops are first responders, why did 0/4 attempt render aid? Maybe just maybe the trainee walks, but I’m glad he’s off the force police should stop homicides not enable them.

Even one of the horrified bystanders tried to intervene in the homicide, but one of the cop-criminals stopped that.
So should the off duty EMT that was upset also be charged? She has a duty to act as well right?
Sucks for this guy. He tried to intervene. POS Chauvin was not having it.

It’s wonderful that you are all for vigilante justice and all, but until all of the evidence is presented justice will not be served. The first thing that’s gonna happen is a change of venue thanks in part to the retard mob ensuring they can’t get a fair and impartial jury in Minneapolis... I’ve seen more than my fair share of these cop cases play out going all the way back to Rodney King. You’ve gotta convict them beyond a reasonable doubt which is never a slam dunk.
They are literally recorded by a crowd pleading with them to stop. With concerned civilians attempting to intervene in the homicide. Apparently now even the trainee knew better and warned what they were doing was wrong, and they kept doing it. These guys are rightfully screwed lmao

Body cams brother. They all had them on and recording. Defense counsel had undoubtedly been able to review his clients footage and his actions. As I said, I’ve seen these things play out many times. At the end of the day, the DA has the burden of proving beyond a reasonable doubt he’s guilty. Overcharging them because it pacifies the mob is always a recipe that lets these guys walk.

Well no obviously she is not to also be charged, the EMT was not involved in the homicide by the 4 cops. EMT was stopped by the separate party of criminals involved in the homicide. It’s laughable you think this is the same or even close to a meaningful point.
If 4 guys go to rob a bank and kill a bank teller your argument suggests the EMT in the lobby is guilty along with the bank robbers for killing the teller

Exactly, they started recording him on the ground. The cops body cams record the entire interaction with him before he was even put on the ground. A jury wont just see cell phone video of George on the ground and hear speculation about what happened prior. They will see the entire chain of event.
Btw, I’m not justifying what the cop did not do I agree with it. I’m just pointing out this isn’t a slam dunk and there is a very very high probability the cops walk.

Especially this guy.
IF they charge this guy, then everyone holding a camera and standing by watching should have the same charges dropped on them.

guys go rob a bank and they kill someone even the dude who’s only the getaway drivers gets a murder charge. These guys are supposed to be better, and it seems at least 1 knew better. Shame they were all involved in homicide. Even when a crowd was shouting they were going to kill him, they failed.

You're going to be massively disappointed.

The other tell tell sign of how weak a case they have against these other 3 is how long it took them to actually charge them. If it was a solid case, they would have charged these guys at the same time. They waited until days after riots broke out to charge them.

...you don’t think any of the body cams have any footage of the crowd shouting at them?

The cop who spoke up a few times and suggested turning him over will have at least a shot. He expressed concern a few times as well. Aiding and abetting involves intentionally assisting or advising a person in committing a crime.

Exactly.

So the prosecutor saw them before the charges were filed.
You’re acting like some random twitter user filed the charges.

You come off as very vindictive and want these guys jailed simply due to their profession. Again, these guys are going to walk, especially if they have body camera footage of them trying to get Chauvin off of Floyd. The only one who will spend time over this incident is Chauvin, and it almost certainly won’t be for second degree murder, either. These charges are overkill to appease the mobs.
For the record, I believe Chauvin deserves time for this, but it will be incredibly difficult to get that charge to stick.
Well that’s your opinion. You believe it’s ‘vindictive’ to expect justice. I agree chauvin should spend time, and the cop who stopped a civilian from intervening. Maybe the other two should walk, but they were a party involved in a 2nd degree murder charge. If a getaway driver can get charged for his homies murdering someone, I don’t see why the group of cops involved in a homicide should be treated any different.

How old are you? First of all the cops were making a legal arrest not robbing a bank. They didn’t load of the squad car and say let’s go kill us a black man. Secondly, George is on the ground for one simple reason and that is because he put up such a fight against being put in the back of a cruiser that they put him on the ground to wait for the paddy wagon to arrive. Finally, whether you like it or not, the state Minnesota has authorized the use of knee neck restraint. Chauvin used a restraint that the state authorized. So all of that in totality will be presented in court and it not for the actions of Mr Floyd and his refusal to be put in the back of the car, he never ends up on the ground and Mr Chauvin never applies the knee neck restraint. You see all of that goes to intent. The state in their overzealous to charge him is saying he intended to kill mr Floyd. How are you going to prove intent beyond a reasonable doubt when the restraint he used WAS LEGALLY AUTHORIZED BY THE STATE OF MINNESOTA? They are setting these guys up to walk and you can’t see it.
