Every relationship you have will be transactional in nature. It just requires a frickload more work to make a commitment like marriage work than she wants to do and most likely the quality of men she is interested in. I don't need someone who has had multiple failed marriages giving me any advice on marriage. Or maybe the secret is to listen to her talk about marriage and just do the exact opposite. That's probably a decent recipe for a happy marriage.
