I just saw the parish post this.
No more drag racing on MLK Blvd. Just wait until they start resurfacing it. They are supposed to implement J-Turns and put a hard barrier in the middle to limit crossings as part of the resurfacing project.

At that speed it may make it easier for those shooting at you.

since when are there palm trees on MLK Blvd in Houma, and a sidewalk that looks like it's in a nice neighborhood?

Right? I do not believe that picture is MLK of Houma.

I can remember when it was just trees and a Walmart there. Service Merchandise and Lowe’s moved there next and boom by 2000, it was a bustling strip between Enterprise and Hollywood.
Home Depot and Target moved there next followed by Circuit City and eventually a Kohl’s as commerce moved north on the road. Sam’s opened around 2007 at the corner with Main Street next to Rouses.
There was also a Ryan’s on the strip where Aldi is now before it was a Twin Peaks. Hooters moved into the Hollywood Video location.

For about 10 years I was the sole provider of palm trees there

Because drag racers always obey street signs.

MLK in Houma is a nightmare any day.
It’s going to be a real shite show once this starts. Just like on Main Street and west park is right now.

Is there a noise ordinance too? Asking so I can order suppressors for my tail gunner. Don’t want to catch a noise ticket while trying to get through safely.

I can remember when it was all woods. I actually sat in class in HS and watched as they built MLK Blvd in Houma.
CSB, right?

I remember when the only Walmart in Houma was on West Park, right down the road from K-Mart. It became Bud's or something like that after Walmart moved out. There was a movie theater in that shopping center also.

Houma has the only MLK that's not like that.
