Don't forget LED downlights that are 5000K color temp and it looks like shite.
We have day light LEDs only in the lighting fixtures above the bathroom vanities. Everything else is warm white LED. Daylight is way too bright for whole house

That arch is large enough to provide access, though? Looks it to me, anyway.

Cause that's the modern homeowners dream right??? A kicthen, living room, dining room combo.... rushing water when someone using the sink right behind you as your watching TV... conversations in the dining room draining out people in the living room...all walls must go!!!
I understand the reasoning open floor plan is so popular, but this is exactly why I despise it.
It’s not unusual for me to spend the entire day on a weekend cooking with music going. Nobody would be able to watch TV or do anything in the living area if we had open floor plan.

That you building that big house on West Prien?

I rage a little bit when I see a beautiful brick house painted white. That shite hurts my heart.
I agree with you in general but there certainly are some exceptions.

You do realize some brick is sold as paint grade and is meant to be painted right?

Arch was fine size wise. It just made the kitchen smaller to where there wasn't enough room for a big kitchen table.
i don't love completly open concept, but i was fine moving it out since it wasn't load bearing. we also had a 3 arch little hallway that was just a roundabout and was annoying so we just opened that whole area up.
this was that arch from the kitchen.
3 arch roundabout

You created a thread to complain about it …

white isn't my preference, but there's some ugly brick out there from the 70s and 80s.

Or discuss it. Not every discussion is being mad about something.

stout, do you know of any savings if i bought them in bundles?

bro you should know everything you just posted is essentially only found in upper middle class homes and frankly that is the style.
in our area the homes in my subdivision, walnut grove, the oaks, greywood etc all are different and dont really look the same at all.
i know you arent jeleous by any means, but 95% of the posters in this thread cant afford that kitchen you posted and are jeleous as frick on things like that.
as far as open concept, much better than tiny arse rooms all over the place.
the LVP is great for kids and honestly looks great in upscale homes. holds up great and no way i was putting in real wood, had that in last house and was always getting damaged from the kids.
the kitchen you posted looks awesome and better than 99% of kitchens out there. I prefer custom metal decorative hood but that one still looks good. I dont like the sink you posted personally but it still looks good.
in other words, hate to tell you stout....but your thread is shite.
