Many of those sites selling breast milk don't screen the breast milk.
Our hospital gets donor breast milk for the NICU from an accredited breast milk bank. The milk goes through a screening/pasteurization process to make it safe. Diseases like HIV and hep B can be passed through breastmilk as well as certain drugs.
So if any parents are looking to buy breast milk...do your research and buy only from reputable places to make sure you aren't getting some HIV+ crackhead/methhead's milk so she can score another fix.
