Always felt like a winner when I could hit it hard enough to get that thing to go Ding!

Never was able to trigger it on my bike though.

Gotta pop a wheelie and shove the front tire down when you land on the hose.

Stepped on one the other day at a Oil Change Shop and it went ding. I did not feel like a winner hearing that.

Most youngens today don't know what these are for.

You kids and your newfangled fun!

Do you remember when your gas station had dirt, not asphalt and they pumped the gas for you?

I worked at this valve rework shop for a summer job, most of the guys were lazy idiots. They put the hose for one of these in the boss's parking spot, when it rang they knew it was time to work.

I worked at a gas station in high school. I threw wet towels at the kids running around the lot and making the bell ring. GET OFF MY LAWN!

Full service gas stations had a hose running across the pump area and when you drove up to the pump, a bell would ding to get the attendant to come out and wait on you.

May have been lazy, but wicked clever!

I knew a guy growing up who was deaf. He rigged up a thing similar to this where it would flash a red light when someone pulled up in his driveway. He had the lights in a few rooms. They probably make them now, but he DIYed his.
