Yup. We see them at Hughes Landing every now and then. Wife works in the Technology Forest area and always see them.

I see eagles often driving by the dump north of Baton Rouge on Scenic. Buzzard-like indeed.

I have been told Terrebonne had the largest population in the lower 48

Driving through Southern Arkansas and saw what appeared to be a small child standing on the dam of a pond. It was actually an eagle. Someone told me there are bald eagles in that area so I assume it was one.

Yes. While staying with cousins in Alaska when I was 12 I saw a bunch.

Have seen a good many bald eagles in Natchitoches Parish on the Clear Lake portion of Black Lake and there are some on Sibley Lake which is the water supply for the city of Natchitoches.
In Alaska they were everywhere along the coast in SE Alaska.

There’s a nest on the levee about 3 miles south of tiger stadium. Look straight, eagles nest, turn right, see Death Valley.

First time I ever saw a bald eagle in the wild was this past September driving up from King's Bay, Georgia to Augusta. I was on a two-lane highway when I saw one flying alongside the road before swerving into the tree line. I caught only a glimpse of it but it was enough to brighten my spirits. Beautiful creatures.

See them all the time between Oct and April- ish in St. Charles parish. They hang out on top of the power lines on Airline between the spillway and 310. You can see them circling over the golf course at Cypress Lakes. The coolest thing I ever saw in terms of bald eagles was when I was exiting 310 at airline headed towards Norco, there were 3 of them sitting on the levee to the right.
I know someone who lives across from the nesting pair in Metairie. They have returned to the same nesting spot for a few years in a row. They have their offspring and then kick them out the nest when they’re ready. It’s odd that happens right off of Kawanee.

Yep. See them all time when I go fishing. One flew right over our boat the last time I took my son out. Very cool! I’ve also caught their calls on my Merlin Bird ID app.

Yeah around 2004-2008 they started showing up in North Louisiana. I see them quite frequently on Toledo Bend.

Jordan-Hare can be wild. Does that count?
Seriously though, they are abundant on Alabama lakes.

I think they’re pretty ugly. I think we shoulda’ chose a turkey as our national mascot after all.

Pretty regularly when I lived in NWLA.
Can you imagine if we went with Ben Franklin’s idea to have the TURKEY as our national bird??

There used to be a big nest right by Pirate's Cove on Toledo and you would see them flying around and hunting
That is a whole colony. From the state park to Pirates cove up to pleasure point. They have been living there for years. Theres a whole bunch of them now.

I used to never see them in the wild growing up. They are much more common now. I saw one right by the Audubon Bridge in New Roads not long ago.
