We saw this bald eagle in Port Rexton Newfoundland last fall.
He was sitting on this sea stack.

There was a nest to the left in a tall tree going westbound on I-10 spillway about 5 years ago. I saw the bird coasting across from the lake with a fish in her mouth.

A couple of times. Once in northern Minnesota when I was a kid. Once between Hammond and New Orleans off of I-55.

I have seen a few on rare occasions, but the most memorable was when I was kayaking the Colorado River on our father/daughter graduation vacation, we saw a pair of them flying overhead and chasing after each other. It was incredible to watch.
Magnificent animals.

Sightings in Oklahoma are almost unheard of
This isn’t true at all. I’ve seen two in the last couple of months, close to the house. My mom lives on lake Texoma in So Oklahoma and she said she sees them from time to time.
I counted 30 one morning in Tahlequah about 20 years ago. Go up hwy 10 about 10 miles north in January and February and you’ll see them all over. They feed on the fish in the Illinois River.

Plenty around Okaloosa County in Fl. Destin / FWB. I had two males fighting above my condo. Both were falling pretty fast. One let go and then the other crashed down through a huge Live Oak. Sounded like a plane crash. He stood up on the ground about 2 minutes. Then he flew out from the canopy of the tree right past me. Their wing span is huge seemed about 6 feet. Just lucky to get to see one of natures best that close.

When I was young I saw Golden Eagles in Venice. I'm an old guy and I've seen Bald Eagles make their presence known in the marshes of southeast Louisiana.

There are a pair that nest, during the spring, just north of Tuscaloosa on the Black Warrior river.
Supposedly, they have done this for the last 20+ years.

This one grabbed a rabbit from in front of the combine. Plucked it like a chicken.
