Always hear about it but never thought it would happen to me.
Driving to work this morning and had a doe slam into my new car(just bought it last month). Doe got up and ran away. So didn't even get any venison out of it.
Anybody else have this happen?

yes, three ran out in front of me on Rosedale Road one morning. I hit the second one. Some guy on a 4 wheeler headed to his stand picked her up. don't know where the other two went.

I hit a full grown buck on the interstate. I hit it at 75mph without a chance to hit the brakes. Needless to say the car was totaled, I walked away sore, but uninjured.

I've personally never had it happen but my wife has 2 kills that way. The first was a good sized doe running parallel to her in the ditch and the stupid deer decides to leap out in front of our 4Runner. Wife-1 Deer-0. Another time wife sees the deer on the side of the road crossing...Doe with 2 yearlings...Doe decides she needs to get across NOW....and Wham...right into the passenger quarter panel. Yearlings just stayed put. Wife-2 Deer-0. Luckily we had low comprehensive deductibles...so it was no problem getting it done.

Our dog was.
A neighbor watched as Buddy tried to take a fawn from its mother. Doe got a hold of one of Buddy's ears and dragged him several hundred yards up the hill and onto our neighbor's front porch where she tried to stomp him to death.
Jim intervened.
Buddy's ear was never the same and she hurt his muscles and may have damaged his rib cage.

Waiting on the insurance to get back to me to finish out the rest of the claim. Glad I have a low deductible

A doe jumped in the mudboat one morning while we were riding in the trenasse. Broke one of my buddy’s rear molars.

No deer but hit a kangaroo once. Fortunately, we hit him straight on the head and killed it instantly, and did minimum damage. Your car is totaled if you hit it broadside.

Years ago, a friend of mine damn near totaled his new pickup when a four point buck jumped from the woods. I was having a New Years party at my house and he was on his way to the party, about a half mile away when it happened. Another friend pulled over to help him. The deer seriously fricked up his grill and radiator, his truck had to be towed.

I surprisingly never have despite many close calls. The closest was in college when I was driving home late at night with my GF. I was a little drunk and tired and ended up driving past 5-6 deer that somehow happened to be scattered everywhere on the road except for where I was driving.

I have probably hit 8 in the 24 years I have been driving. I have hit 3 with my current vehicle.

Once. It was 1230am. Wife and kids in the grocery-getter. Saw them crossing. Had about 1 second to react. No time to stop. I picked a small open spot between two deer, gunned it , bump one of the deer’s head. Made it through with only a tiny dent.

Yea got hit on my dirt bike awhile ago. Luckily I wasn't going that fast but it broke my leg and took me down pretty hard.
As for car. I hit a dog one night at around 80 mph...felt horrible. Couldn't find a tag on him to go tell his owners.
