Yes, I call those weekdays.

Also, weekends.

I can't stand other parents who act like their kids are nothing but a blessing, and never act like stress inducing parasites. I find that venting and then mocking our children with other like minded parents to be one of the great joys in my life at the moment.

When my son was younger you had to break the day down to nap time and bed time, just get through to those points and you were golden. He has his days where he tests our last nerves, but he is a good kid and generally is a pleasure to be around. I have a daughter due in exactly 4 weeks from today so now adding another kid to the mix especially a new born, is going to test my patience everyday. I will say that being a father has helped me to not sweat the small stuff as much, but there will be days where the fuse is very short. The roles have reversed more so with my wife and I because when he was younger she was had the patience of Job, but now she is working with a hair pin trigger on somedays. She will get on to him and I'm like Jesus woman he just asked for some milk, and I have told her that she needs to calm down which puts the cross hairs on me and not him but being married for 10 years, I know how to deal with her being pissed off.

Wait till they are teenagers, I’m amazed that I’m not visiting my wife in prison sometimes I think she’s thought about it more than once.....

Parenting is not for everyone, but trust me when I say this, I wouldn't trade being a father to my two wild arse boys (who are also 5 and 3) for anything in the world, even when they are driving me crazy.

If you don't want to choke your kids at least once a week, you don't love them.

I still feel bad 15 years later about my occasional reactions when they stepped on my last nerve. Just try to fight the important battles.

Twin 4 year old boys.

They love to crawl in the bed and spread eagle and move constantly. I wanna punch them almost every night.

They won't eat correctly
Get constipated because they won't eat correctly
Mess up their room
Mess up the living room
Cry when they have to get up for school
Every day man.... Every day

But when they give me a hug and say I love you, makes it all worth it

I was on a tour once when the tour guide gave us the story of Saint Barbara. She was the daughter of a pagan king and had decided to convert to Christianity. According to the story, her father then had her locked in a tower and tortured until she died.

One of the other tourists in the group said that was terrible. Another tourist said, "You don't have any teenaged daughters, do you?"
