I’ve never left an oil change and thought my vehicle was running any different than before.

How fricking long did you wait to be able to notice a difference

I change my own as well. Takes 15 minutes start to finish. Filters too.
That way I know it's done right.

Lemme guess. You got the trans and coolant flush too because "we caught it just in time?".

Let your boyfriend bring it to the lube-n-rob next time.

if it runs smoother after oil change then you waited until the engine was ready to blow before changing it.

good luck buying another engine and/or car in a year or less

i 100% agree, but TBH ....

on most trucks and suvs they have sheilds (skid plates) under the engine that must be removed to get to the drain plug and oil filters. that turns it into a 30-45 minute job and "sorta" a PITA, but i still do my own because im not a girly man like most guys are today

Dealership tried to sell me these flushes for over $400 when I had the car in for recall work recently.

I tried hard not to laugh.

All of mine have an easily removable door/flap to get to the filter and drain plug.

Don’t know about feeling bad, but I do feel uneasy going 10k miles between oil changes. Not accustomed to that.

No. I'm pretty responsible.

Do you rotate your own tires too? I get a free rotation each time with an oil change. They never try to sell me anything else. It takes them 30 minutes while I go get breakfast. Please sell me on why I should do it myself.
