However, I just can't defend shite like this, especially with the struggles I've had in life and to where I am now in life. Everywhere I've been in the St. George area and others like that, people are busting their asses themselves and not waiting for others to come help them.

Yes. A lot, actually. Hell, Winbourne was under about 4 ft of water and Baker got hit pretty hard too.
