Thank GOD social media didn't exist when I was in high school.
Looking back it will truly be seen as an aid in the downfall of the republic

Why is it that Chicken and Watermelon are associated with the black folk? I don't know a single white person that doesn't eat chicken and watermelon.

I was 10-11 before I learned that fried chicken and watermelon was supposedly black people's food. By that age I had eaten an entire flock of chickens and spit enough watermelon seeds to plant a 400 acre field.

Is there a historical reference regarding fried chicken and black folks that I'm not aware of? I know it's a stereotype, but is there any negative connotation there? If someone said "Cajun people eat crawfish" I don't think that's necessarily wrong, or bad. Fried chicken is awesome.

We used to always hit up Popeyes on MLK day while at LSU. It always had a line out the door every year.

Sounds like the Bishop went deep third-person on them:
quote:

"Bishop Deshotel was deeply saddened and disturbed by the post, and believes that racism in any form demeans the human person who is created in the image and likeness of God.”

Has Bishop Deshotel apologized for the PEDOPHILIA among the Catholic hierarchy??

Who do these Catholic Priests think they are? Check the plank in your eye Bishop.
