I was coming to post a Chris Gaines joke. Yours was better
Mine was “Chris gains body count, Garth gets prison time”

Just not buying it.

Maybe his Democrat friends in low places can bail his arse out of this one!
Don't call Baton Rouge looking for sympathy, bitch!

I want it to be true just so I don't have to go through the most cringe "tradition" in Tiger Stadium. I absolutely fricking hate Calling Baton Rouge. Never could stand Garth Brooks or his music. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me.

So if he pays damages in a civil suit (no criminal liability whatsoever), we stop playing Callin' Baton Rouge? I don't think this is how it works.

Mark Chesnutt and "atrocious" never belong in the same sentience. The man is a legend and probably the single most underrated amongst the mainstream 90s country singers.
Also, on the topic of earlier recordings, "Achy Breaky Heart" was first recorded by the Marcy Brothers.

I loved that song when done by New Grass Revival. Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, and John Cowan. I can't go to a game in Tiger Stadium without feeling that I am among Philistines. LINK

an even worse song than the Baton Rouge song, and that's hard to do.

I came here to see if this was posted.
For some reason people are shocked over this one.. He gets on TV and talks family values and sings Christmas songs around a fireplace with his wife.. A man of god.. OMG he is so perfect.. Then it happens and people just can't believe this.
If you are going to be famous, the best thing to do is portray yourself to be someone that if you get caught doing something, your fans wouldn't care because they just assumed you are shady dude.. Example. Vince McMahon.
