So you stood in line all day to buy some Faget necklace?

Can’t win them all. Only stood in line for less than two hours, not all day. Once I got my number, I left.

Theantiquetiger,

Old lady who’s father ran a general store 75 years ago had a yard sale in our town recently. I bought this old thread display box because it looked cool. Paid $90 for it. Did I take a beating?

That was a waste of time for me. It was all new stuff, and very expensive stuff.
I bought one thing, and hope to double my money.
I bought a Migon Faget necklace for $80.

Were people buying anything?

IIRC you can find small opals in creek beds around Fort Polk. They actually found small amounts of gold in Lasalle Parish years ago but not enoigh to be econom8cally viable.

One lady in scrubs (doctor?), was buying all the Louis Vuitton stuff. Several thousand dollars. There was a long line to check out. People were buying stuff, but people like me were walking out nearly empty handed.

I would say no. It looks really cool. It’s hard to price something like that.

Edit:
There’s one similar on eBay, just bigger, they are asking $1900

Were the prices fairly discounted? "Vintage" LV items go for a pretty penny.

I still kick myself for just throwing away the one I had in high school.

I don’t know what they were new, but the one purse I saw was $700.

I tried to warn you.

This estate sale will be crowded as shite on all days. She has purses and shoes and dresses for days, and it's all brand name stuff.
This isn't one of those estate sales you go find junk at and resell it for a big profit. There's going to be a ton of stuff and a lot of it will be expensive.

The bottom drawer knobs had been changed out but the original knobs were inside of the drawer. The back of them say patented January 7 1868. Probably pretty old.
