hh... idk. they don't draw ratings, at least not marty and ryan.

They will lose money for the right person.

How many of the "personalities" actually make them money. Nobody is tuning in to see them. Years ago I would watch PTI because I thought Tony was funny and some of the old sport center guys were good. Now????? Not so sure.

Would love to see Rece Davis, Joe Tessitore, and Greg McElory get shown the door to start!

Sam Ponder and Sage Steele

They absolutely will get rid Sage Steele. She is in the most hated demographic a vocal conservative black woman.

This. Every hour of the morning and early afternoon is a different set of talking heads arguing the same points.

Yep. It's the same trash programming format that dominates cable news these days. Panel discussions about the same shite where people end up just yelling over each other.

Early PTI, The Sports Reporters, and The Sports Writers On TV in the Chicago market were much more palatable back in the day because they were just old school newspaper guys having a discussion. Even when debates became heated, they remained respectful and intelligent.

Now it's pretty clear the only goal is to generate "hot takes" for clicks. I'm not convinced the personalities on these programs believe half the things they say. Apparently there's an audience for this stuff, although I don't know who.

Who didnt see this coming?

I remember someone on this forum stating ESPN did a lengthy piece on Title IX and conveniently avoided all the male sports it cut.

I feel bad for the good people who didnt do anything wrong and got laid off though.

Truth.

A lot of decent people are getting laid off and people are celebrating because of a couple talking heads they don’t like….which probably wont be going anywhere.

First Take with SAS really doesn't push any agenda at all.

The concept of the show is to literally, adopt a take opposite of each other. Yet they never debate a race/gender issue. The only reason they don't push an agenda on this show is that the person choosing the non-PC agenda would be cancelled. That tells you all you need to know about what their agenda is.

His play-by-play broadcasting technique is absolutely unbearable.

He needs to never be on a broadcast for anything again.

For the love of God, someone needs to fire Lee Corso before God does it for us and in front of us

I don't particularly mind tessitore for a college football broadcast, his style just didn't fit the awful mnf schedule.
