Title should be junkie goes to ER because he took his 30 day supply of benzos in 10 days. This dudes son must not be that young because he’s covered in tats too.

That video doesn't really prove anything.. Plus, the ER Doctor had a tattoo.. What's the point?

Exactly. Make a fricking appointment with your Dr instead of clogging up the ER with injury, that isn't a true emergency.

I'd imagine they have problems keeping a legit PCP. I could direct them to some "providers" that could help them, but then they'd have to pay.

I’ve been in the ER for 6 years now. Grow a set son!

Doing ER since 1994. Seen it I just don't let the BS get me down.

Any connection? I like being able to weed those fools out. Like I said earlier though, I wouldn't mind working ER again if it was an ER with no EMR and there wasn't so damn much litigation against ER docs. I never had any issues from my time, but I know many others that have. Granted, MANY of those were just. Maybe I just have an illogical fear of lawsuits. That's the main thing that keeps me away. Don't worry. I've got some potatoes.

If I have a patient that goes to the ER for this kind of BS, we have a talk about appropriate use of the ER and how their misuse/abuse reflects poorly on me. If it continues, they are dismissed.

Yeah, other peoples lawyers can be a pain in the arse, especially the ambulance chasers. But some of the biggest assholes I know are Doctors.

It depends on the size of the ER and locale. I worked smaller ERs as a resident that paid $75 to $95/hour or so, and up to double that at bigger busier ERs. It's been about 8 years since I worked a shift.

Anxiety is awful and benzos can cause crazy withdrawal symptoms or get you crazy dependent. Awful doctor. I’d like to see that doctor outright lose their license for a bit.

As irrational as it may seem to the average person the person experiencing anxiety can have crippling irrational thoughts and symptoms.

Losing a license is a bit much.

Hopefully she'll learn from it. Though she does have the appearance of being a bitch in general, so I wouldn't hold my breath. Glad I don't have to deal with her.

If that’s true it’s undeestsbdanld but the doctor should still be more professional.

If he was making up symptoms then that’s sad, but anxiety attacks can be very debilitating and I don’t wish them on anyone.

Thanks for clearing it up.

Completely ridiculous.

And still be the least emergent case in the ER.

The docs bedside manner sucked and she probably needs a time out from her employer. But nothing in there warrants a board review.

Benzos are no joke. They'll kill you. They're a nasty class and the withdrawals are awful.

Not unusual. I have had doctors and nurses treat me like a damn criminal for coming to see them for several things. A back injury for one.
For me it was my clap dr.

He was chill as hell. He was not in withdrawals and he was not having a panic attack. Was he not asking for pain pills as well? For anxiety?

From a medical standpoint, she appeared to have handled it correctly. She just let them get to her and lost her shite.

Benzos sickens me, mofos will do/say anything to get their refills a week early including berate their doctors. The shoe is on the other foot and the OT is livid, I didn’t read most of the comments but I’m sure they have to go something like “snowflake doctor” or “the doc had to save the hurt Mexicans now a white kid needs help and they ignore”.

I’ve lost many of friends to those shite drugs and all I could ever tell them was get over it you don’t need those pills to go outside and get a job. Now this is coming from no place of knowledge so I’m sure the feeling can be debilitating but there has to be a better fix than benzos that turn people to lifeless zombies.
