I would say it depends on the type of work you do, who you interest act with through out the day...are dressing to impress, or are you dressing for comfort.

There are a lot of different factors that would go into someone wardrobe at work....

Uh...have you ever dressed in a way that you think makes you look better than dressing in an alternative way?

Do you choose to have suits fitted, or do you buy a generic size off the rack at Dillards? Do you fix your hair in the morning or just go in whatever style your pillow chose for you? Do you shower so you smell better or just keep it natural? Why is it okay for you to do these things so you appear better, but not okay for women to dress in a way that makes them appear better?

Are you retarded? That's not what he said at all

I believe his point is that there is a distinct difference between this...

And this...

Absolutely. We're supposed to pretend there isn't a difference though. That women only have the option to wear provocative work attire.

pretty sure she'd get eye fricked no matter what she wore. Great posture in the chair as well. Her back will thank her years from now.

I'm vain.

There's a fine line between having a nice haircut and looking clean and classy vs wearing a spandex bodysuit to highlight my physique.

What would you consider provocative work attire for a man?

Where do you interact that the only thing women in your office wear are similar to the picture you posted?

In my office, the only women that dress like that are the receptionists. You act like this is some big issue. I've never gone into a negotiation and sat across the table from some broad dressed like she's on a bachelorette party.

Like I said, clothing that is ill-fitting makes me look homeless. It just so happens that I’m not fat so maybe it looks “sexy” but I’m sure as hell not wearing nightclub outfits or clothing that’s not work appropriate.

More like this. Ignore those god awful shoes. I wouldn’t wear those. Usually lower work appropriate heels

A girl in my lab is a feminist and was talking about how women shouldn’t be judged for showing cleavage or wearing form fitting clothes. They should be allowed to dress in whatever way they feel comfortable. Later we were talking about this grad student in our department who had a leadership position and she was appalled how constantly was showing up in gym shorts and a backwards hat.

I simply said “what’s the big deal as long as he feels comfortable?”

A great example of a workplace uniform that hides sexuality/sexualization well for both genders.

Women in the workplace should dress modestly. Men, too.

would imagine it's damn near impossible for a woman with curves to dress in a way that doesn't attract attention, unless she is wearing a burka.

Exactly. You stick a younger woman with a decent figure in pretty much any outfit, and it is deemed “sexy”... when a frumpy woman wearing the same outfit would be fine.

I don’t think it’s fair to expect someone to wear something baggy that doesn’t fit just because you think they look hot in their regular fitting work attire.

Currently wearing pretty much this exact dress. I’m about 9ft shorter than this woman though so it’s much longer.
