No.. it is common practice that once a drug is fully approved it is then given a trade name. This is normal.

BioNTech-Pfizer is still under EUA. It is available and this is the Pfizer vaccine that people think is fully FDA approved.

Axktuallyyy... I don't give two shits if anyone gets the vaccine or loses their toes. And I don't think litigation should change the fact that plant baws have to abide by The Man's rules. And I don't think anyone has to be told how to live, or be maimed or microchipped.
Wear flip flops to work if you want, w or without the jab. That's freedom. Choice. But oddly, the only mandate some here have IS PPE. They're not being told not to show up until they have The Passport. Right?

Paski said it will affect your daily life if you are unvaccinated. They are trying to make life hell. It's going to include showing vaccine papers to the TSA I bet. They can't force airlines to mandate but they can overrule them with the TSA.

If I don't want to wear PPE at work, I can find another job. Yes.
The fact that you don't see where this is going is a little disturbing. If I don't want to wear a safety harness, it doesn't also prevent me from going to an LSU football game or getting on a plane or, in some areas, entering a government building or a coffee shop.

You need to read the FDA letters carefully.
They say they are the same in terms of formulation. Which they are. COMIRNATY and BioNTech are not the same legally. It's that simple.
When the FDA talks about the same two they are talking about them in terms of formulation.
COMIRNATY is fully approved and not available. BioNTech-Pfizer is under EUA and available.

You can't find COMIRNATY on the market. COMIRNATY offers legal recourse for side effects. Pfizer-BioNTech has legal immunity under the EUA designation from side effects. That is the difference.
People taking the Pfizer vaccine right now are taking the vaccine under EUA without legal protections. They are not taking COMIRNATY with all the legal protections.

The problem is that we started all this draconian bullshite with zero exit strategy from day 1. In March 2020, we shut down cities and states and stopped sporting events when there were less than 100 confirmed cases in the whole country. When the bar is that low for that kind of reaction, you allow yourself all kinds of room to put forth any measure you want. And that's what has happened. We've spent 20 months scaring people into thinking this thing has a 10% death rate and that they can't go outside or be around other people or send their kids to school. Lies have consequences.

There are consequences because we have accepted all of this bullshite from the start. You say this isn’t the hill to die on. The point is we don’t want to reach that hill, so we have to resist every step of the way. What so far has given you the impression that the government will stop short of totally barring the unvaccinated (meaning, people who don’t comply with ALL vaccine requirements including regular booster shots) from participating in life? Saying we can’t fly on planes is a huge barrier for participating in life, so don’t tell me we aren’t headed there.
It’s so disheartening that we have all been played against each other like this. All it took was a virus.

The question is what exactly happening RIGHT NOW that requires mandates? The death rate is as low as ever. Vaccinations are up and just as many people have been exposed. Delta is a quick spike then goes just as quickly... again with a lower death rate. We have treatments available. We have a free vaccine. Why mandate it at all? What's the urgency today that requires it?

It's not "yolo". It's called "you do you and I'll do me".
