Yeah the average citizens won’t sign up to invest in the future. They just want max value as cheap as possible today, not for tomorrow.

Entergy hires lobbyist to tell the politicians what "we" want.

Entergy hires paid actors to tell public forums what "we" want.

Entergy literally uses our own money to build a campaign promoting what "we" want. And you are taking the bait.

I mean I’m not saying Entergy is St. Jude’s, but they have some absolutely miserable fricks around here bitching that Entergy can’t magically fix their entire transmission network within 2 days of a category 4 hurricane.

So actually this whole storm brought me back
To that fiasco over the new power plant in NOLA east

So
If I’m understanding this right, it’s not been operational
To this point but now they can go
Ahead and fire it up and light up a portion of the grid?

Am i missing something ?

My wife’s shite head cousin is married to a pilot in Entergy’s private fleet. He flies maybe 3-5 days a month but is kept on salary. When he flies he talks about these lavish spreads of food and shite these people have for routine 1-3 hour flights. He’s a douche and a bum by nature but every time I see his truck home during the day I get irrationally pissed off.

Entergy can't keep the lights on at my house on a sunny day. I lose power all the time for no reason. That's not due to rate payers being cheapskates. That's due to a shitty woke corporation that's not being run right.

Give us some competition in the market. Entergy sucks. This bad PR is well deserved.

The idiot environmentalists were doing their best to stop the Eastern Power Station from being built.

Maybe, but the New Orleans city council under Landrieu voted on and passed a proposal allowing the Sewage and Water Board to add a 10% annual increase on water bills that was scheduled to last for 8 years to pay for old debts and for new water system infrastructure. So in that case, they didn't even really leave it up to the people.

If they are ever going to attempt to do more underground electricity setups, now is the time to try and do it since they'll be getting FEMA money and Biden and co. will be handing out money like candy with the bazillion dollar infrastructure bill (though New Orleans does have it's challenges with shifting soil, etc.).

new orleans power station and ninemile 6 aren't black start capable, the only way they could get one of them running is by rolling in huge diesel generators to get the unit's systems running before putting power out

So what unit is providing the power that has been restored so far?

i thought that new orleans power station was a combined cycle unit, it's actually a black start capable reciprocating engine type plant, so i deleted my other post, it's in the Michoud area, that's why parts of new orleans east have power

if transmission is fine between NOPS and Ninemile 6, they'll get Ninemile 6 running and a huge amount of people will get power back

NOPS is 128MW and Ninemile 6 is 560MW
