Robert Francis O’Rourke went to an elite boarding school. Ask him. He has time on his hands now.
Yes and if the state of Texas has another grid crisis this winter, maybe Beto can flee to Cancun like the guy who beat him !

My uncle went to The Webb School. He followed up with going to The University of the South after. That's all I got.

They do a lot of drugs at Sewanee and I came from Tuscaloosa.
That says something.

They didn’t fit into a specific stereotype, tbh. Met a bunch in college but wasn’t close friends with any of them.
Guy in my dorm was from Andover and was maybe the hardest worker I met. Studied constantly, got a 40 or higher on the MCAT, now a doctor in Hawaii.
Another guy was from a southern state but went to Lawrenceville. Thought he was god’s gift to women and that most guys should be honored that he even acknowledged them.
Girl from Lawrenceville was much friendlier and became a sports reporter for a national publication.
Two hot girls from Choate. Wouldn’t have known from their demeanor if they went to a nice public school, nice private school, boarding school, etc. Nothing interesting about them except the hotter one was a big cleat chaser.
Guy from Loomis was actually pretty nice but had a very ostentatious wardrobe. Pink sweaters, loafers, madras shorts, etc. I think he knew a lot of people clowned his wardrobe but didn’t care.
Met some people years later who went to Loomis, St. George’s, Portsmouth Abbey, etc. All good dudes and nothing from their behavior would stick out.

A fraternity brother went to Culver Military Academy. He was a real discipline problem and hated that school.

Exeter is like a small college campus.
The vast majority of its student body are hugely over-privileged and connected kids from places that include countries other than the good old USA.
Last I knew, tuition was north of $70k/year.
They do have a rigorous sports program that competes against the public schools and is sometimes semi-productive, so I give them that…

My friend grew up in Greenwich and went to St Paul’s. She lives in the burbs and lives a normal life. Extremely smart and very well read.

Lyman Ward.
I had a friend who got sent there.
Down by Auburn. Barracks style living.
I don’t think anyone there chose to go there.

My 10th grade English teacher at Newman taught at Exeter just prior to moving to New Orleans. He said there was no difference in student ability between the two schools.
What else would he say?
“You guys are fricking idiots”

Does Woodbury forest count?

Off topic from boarding schools but I visited sewanee: the university of the south (had some friends and cousins that went there) and it was one of the coolest places I have ever been to. I wish I went there for college.
