Pictures circulating from his social media show AR's. Have read that the shooter was wearing a carrier but no plates i.e. not body armor.
Everything of course is still hazy at this point so may change.
Who wants to take bets he was on SSRI's?
Edit: they are also saying CoD enthusiast, FWIW.

Well the people I know are ok, but she said the town isn't. It took up to 7 hours or more for some families to know if their kid was dead or alive. I couldn't imagine the mental beat down wondering.

That is terrifying. Even though the likelihood of something like this affecting me personally is basically zero, it is one of my top fears since becoming a parent.

Thankfully we only live in a world where the reaction by some to 19 kids dying is to immediately use the event to push for gun control legislation.
Oh I think the politicians are just as gross…like that loser Murphy giving that “impassioned “ speech on the floor. He knows that accomplishes nothing but get his face all over TV.
We can have these exact same debates after each shooting but nothing gets done one way or the other, the public just moves along and it’s all forgotten until the next one.
That’s what makes the conspiracy morons seem even dumber than they are.

Was it like Sandy Hook where the last parents remaining at the end of the family reunifications were the parents who lost kids?

fricking hell. The number increased from 14 to 21 overnight. Jesus Christ.
This makes my blood boil yet heart extremely sad at the same time.

Do we have confirmation that it was indeed an AK-47 and not a modified WASR-10?
LEO friend said AK. Obviously could change as information becomes more clear

I don't know why that makes it so much more real, but it does. One of those girls looks a little like my daughter.

Candidates who pass the initial testing must then complete a timed, sixmile ruck march with a weighted pack. Additional testing is performed for swimming, treading water, and drown-proofing.

I read a tweet last night that the school had a heavy percentage of kids of Border Patrol Agent’s. I can’t help but wonder if any of them that went into the school had a child that attended.

Uvalde is one of the most coveted BP stations in Texas. That school 100% had kids of agents.

14 of the 19 shown (not counting mother and grandmother) were female. Seems like they could have been the primary target of the shooter. Will be interesting to see if this is part of the psychological profile of the shooter, a general hatred of biological females and his own sexual identity conflict.

Don’t need gun control. Need thoughts and prayers.

Can someone please give me an explanation of what happened yesterday? I've intentionally not watched the news because as a parent, I can't handle news anchors and others being interviewed crying in times like this. Shooting a bunch of young kids hits differently when you're a parent of young kids.
As I understand it, this guy was being chased by border patrol agents, crashed, then ran into the school and started shooting. He shot his grandmother before entering the school -- did she work at the school or something? Forgive my lack of knowledge here but could someone please let me know a synopsis? Have we learned yet if this guy was an illegal resident?

What we need is armed security at each entrance of a school.
