Just tell her the electric bill is coming out of her shoe and purse fund.

Timer switches, nothing like pitch black 5 minutes into a duce

You just can't keep Tater Salad at that temperature.

Here's the problem I have with our electricity bill. I have kept a spreadsheet for 4yrs with the KW used each month, bill total, and cost per KW. The less electricity I use, the more I'm charged per KW used. Now, one might say that peak usage time is effecting this but I have 4yrs of data that says otherwise. With all the fuss over conserving energy, it seems this should be just the opposite.

Just take it out of her shopping allowance.

I can't understand people who like it so hot in their house. 70-72 during waking hours and 65 during sleep

This means your ac runs continuously from May to Sept unless you live in fricking Alaska

Must be an old person thing, my parents always cranked that shite up to 80. I can't be comfortable over 72 and that's pushing it.

I GET $60 back when I use over 1,000 kWh, basically disincentivizes me from ever turning the ac over 70.

Put the light switches outside the kitchen and she won't have access to them.
Lower the temp on your by water heater, get a programmable thermostat, and use the delay wash on your washing machine and dishwasher to wash later at night and mid morning.
These things are much simpler than explaining logic to a female.

Impossible.
She believes, for example, if it's 77 degrees in the house on a hot day, by setting the AC SUPER cold, like on 63, it will get colder faster.
Has no idea how a TV or closet light turns off.
Will sit on the car in the driveway idling with the engine on for an hour talking on the bluetooth phone in the car.

For God's sake man, my wife would CARVE ME UP WITH A POWER SAW if I so much as touched her sacred washing machine.

I turn mine up to 78 or 79 during the day and when I come home from lunch it's more than comfortable.

Doesn't cost anything or change anything to teach her to use the delay wash that malt washers have. It simply delays the start of the regular cycle simply to offset costs and adjust timing

Most couples I know split the bills, you take these I'll take these. Just give her the electricity one.

Man, if you are freaking out over a little power bill, wait until you find her PayPal charges.

79? In the summer? frick her.

I've got two teenage daughters. Come home at 6pm and every damn light is on. Why the frick do you need lights on during daytime?
