Fair point. I mean, the threesomes, bondage, anal sex and so forth have been pretty good over the years, I'll give her that.

I'm not sure if this will trickle down, but I've heard electric circuits explained like it was water flowing through it.
Maybe if she understands what happens to the Water Bill if you leave all the faucets running all the time, she might be able to grasp,at least, the idea of what's going on and causing + or - in the Power Bill, and the reason that we have to pay for it.
It does cost money, and a lot of hidden costs, such as the environment, for them to make Electricity.

Awesome. lol
Back to your previous post, does your electricity actually cost more per KWH between 3-6 pm? If not, then the only things that you should not run during those hot hours of the day are things that generate a lot of heat, such as the stove or oven.

Next time she wants to buy some dumbass purse or shoes, tell her you guys can't afford it right now because the gas and light bill was excessive. They understand take away.

Tried showing her the bill. Brought out a utility guy to show us how to economize. Showed her huge cancelled checks from the utility company. Tried drawing diagrams, formulas, equations, simple math ... And here I am.
Sometimes you go to buy a new TV you do all of your research and you pick the "perfect" TV for you. Then you get it home and it doesn't work.
Sometimes your new TV is defective, and sometimes your wife is defective.
Sorry.

You should try adding a woman to the threesome for a change.

This is one of the things I love about my wife. She goes through the house cutting off lights more than I do.
Ditto. I got lucky with the gal I married. She's frugal as hell. Not to the point of going coupon-crazy or anything, but she'll at least keep the lights off and not run the A/C 24/7.

I usually just run the ceiling fan in whatever room I'm in

Yeah the electric company does different billing plans to chose from. One we selected has peak times between 3-6pm M-F...rest of the time is much cheaper rate than the usual flat rate 24/7. Peak times cost more. If you are able to watch your usage during peak times...your bill can actually be cheaper than if you just did a flat rate 24/7.

"i didn't put it on 66, i just put it down till it clicked"

Its kinda funny bc my wife is the total opposite. Im willing to pay more in order to not sweat in my house. Only during the summer does the ac get to 72 or 73. Other parts of the yr is 74 when home and 78 not at home.

This female pays the electricity bill so I can leave on any lights that I want to and keep the AC on 69-70 year round. Every now and then the husband will crank the AC up to 71. As soon as I walk into the house, I say "OMG! Why is it so hot in here?!" and commence to turn it back down. I can not even comprehend living in 79 degrees in current times.
