Seriously.
Three storms last year in Louisiana
The winter freeze
Spring floods
Will there be enough?

No, we already can’t get material to job sites as it is.

All I know is that a lot of people better take care of those guys. Buy them some sandwiches or pizza here and there. They don’t feed them for shite. Add to the fact those guys are gonna be the most important people when recovery starts.

NOLA’s gonna look like India after the competent NOLA engineers get done-

This is an excellent question

My brother just left his job as a lineman to do something administrative ... he'll be back out there I'm guessing on a pole. They've been treated like dirt in some places and kings in others.
Last year we drove around our little town offering snacks, drinks, food to the linemen we saw .. no one would take it. Said they were well stocked and I want to say "covid" regulations. I did however feel better about trying.

Like mwlewis said, we can’t get material now. It’s going to be hell after this.

I asked a similar question a few days ago. I keep wondering how this will affect materials like windows, lumber, and groceries. If there is a 4 month lead time on windows, i scared for folks looking to repair damage from the storm..

On a related note, someone told me that Entergy has had some fatalities in the last few months and have changed work policies and went nuts with additional safety measures. This will slow them down on jobs

There was one I know for sure .. think it was in Mississippi? Sad situation.

Heaven forbid safety measures keep you from having power sooner.

Safety regulations are a great thing, but things can get taken waaaaay to far to an extreme

Wife said their company has already been contacted about work but they are so swamped they don’t have people to work rebuild

Like everyone has said before supply chain is already screwed because of Covid. This is going to be an ugly situation.
