Electric Shaver...who here uses one?

How do you like it and how close does it "REALLY" shave?
Are you young with supple skin or do you have OLD MAN skin?

I have used the same electric razor for probably 6 years. It doesn't cut close and I'm frankly surprised the thing still works, but I only use it if I'm running late or am lazy and don't have any client-facing meetings that day.
I use a regular razor all other days.
Another benefit is it helps my blades last longer since I don't use them every single day.

I tried one for a while and hated it. Switched to a safety razor and haven’t looked back.
Shout out to the Rockwell T2 razor.

I’ll keep one charged to knock out stubble if the plant entry calls for it. Other than that, I stick to my razor once or twice a week.

I switched about 5 years ago to one of the good Panasonics, Arc 4 or Arc 5. They certainly don't cut as close as a blade. But, there is way less mess and I wouldn't say the shave takes any longer than with a blade. I will never go back to messing with shaving cream and nicks and cuts.

Always shave first of the week and then use the panasonic arc for the rest of the days. Saves me a lot of time

I have one that I use once a week to skip a proper shave. I find that it struggles on my neck and even kind of irritates the skin on my neck.

I use one, it doesn't get a very close shave but I only use it to trim and outline my beard. Way easier to keep a short beard than to shave.

I have been using an electric razor ever since I needed to start shaving.
It has become a running gag that every Christmas my stocking has a new one in it.

To maintain my beard. I've been letting grow since I'm working from home now, and it's pretty awesome.

When they put me on Coumadin, I tried to switch to an electric razor.
Braun, figured “German” engineering would be the answer.
I did not find it helpful. It did not get close.
I’m just real careful with a real razor for now.

I shave head and face with this bad boy everyday.
Best money I have spent in last 5 years. You can wet or dry shave with this thing.
Amazing and highly recommend.

I own a safety razor and multiple bidets.

I shave in the shower with a safety razor 99% of the time. But if I need a quick clean up, I’ll use my electric razor. But never on my neck bc it pulls the hair out and causes irritation.

I've used a Norelco for the past 20 years. About a year ago I switched to a Braun series 9. It has a cleaning base and gives a really close shave. No messing around with cream or water.

Have been using the same Braun Syncro for 20+ years. It shaves plenty close. No longer holds a charge, so need to use it plugged in. I could fix that with a new pair of rechargeable AA batteries but I am terrible at soldering.
The original foil lasted 10 years but new ones last fewer than 5. Have replaced the cutter block prob three times. $25 for both.
I have spectacularly soft skin and facial hair that is not super coarse. Blade shaving always resulted ingrown hairs/pimples, which are then themselves difficult to blade around. Electric shaving avoids that cycle of blemishes.

I use a razor. I’m 64 and you probably can say I have old man skin. Shaved this morning dry. Ran out of shaving cream. I have weathered leathered skin.
