Considering one of those weeks was a heat wave with temps over 100?

Yeah, meh. 55 bucks isn't going to kill me.

I'm not one of those people that wishes the economy would close down again just so energy costs could plummet.

Do you have solar panels?
Is it vastly insulated?

I ask this because a new home of a friend in El Dorado Hills in 2018 with solar panels and the newest insulation scenarios earned only an $8 bill….

Another electric bill thread?

What's next, a conspiracy thread about which ones are true?

Eh, you paid up front (heavily) to not have to utilize as much power now. And you'll pay heavily again in 5 years when all those batteries need replaced.

Why are people shocked about their electric bill? You can look any day at where it is at and where it should be at the end of the month

It’s because you look at the energy you use every day and add it all up and your bill is $200 over that because of fees and surcharges.

How are you cooling that bastard?

I have 3,800sf with two 4 ton units and a pool pump running 12 hrs/day and my most recent bill was $302 and that was a solid week of a heat wave with temp's in excess of 100 per day.

Joe Biden is responsible for it being hot as frick all month

No but he is responsible for unnecessarily high fuel prices. Most electric plants run on fossil fuels.
BIden's policies have created higher than just inflation gas prices. His spending and monetary policies are also the main culprit behind the inflation.

So yeah, FJB.

My electric bills have historically been $200 at most and that was rarely. The last 2 bills have been $320 and $340
