Good grief. My electric bill is up $120 over what it was last month, and a week of that I was out of town, nobody home, and the AC was bumped up to 80.

Did you not read that a week of that I was out of town and essentially used nothing in electricity? Maybe the fact that energy across the board is skyrocketing and we are investing more in Ukraine than we are at home. Yes, Joe Biden's policies are directly responsible for this.

You are going to get downvoted. Government plays a real part in pricing and overall energy cost is up significantly. That being said, it funny the Facebook mafia get in a rage over the bills when they don’t know how to reconcile it against their usage.

I have yet to crack $100 on my electric bill this year. Do I still have to FJB or can I let him slide?

Maybe if you would post the month's consumption in kWh vs last month's then we could tell you whether it should have been higher.

Electricity isn't measured in "days home vs out of town".

Mine only went up like 20 bucks or so to 260ish. I was expecting it to be a lot higher.

Did you miss the thread earlier this week about the couple who turned the power off at the box for a month and still received a bill for over $100?

I built a 4,317 sqft custom home in Albuquerque, NM last year and last month's bill was the largest bill I've received so far.

It was $97.33.

Up from $93.60 in May.

Why are people shocked about their electric bill? You can look any day at where it is at and where it should be at the end of the month
