Why does it happen so often in this country? Our country? By our own people?

Verifiable is a moving target here. This one says 2.8 per 100000 in India vs 5.0 per 100000 in US. Neither of us can prove or disprove these numbers. So GFO with your numbnuts comment.
Sweet tapdancing Christ on a cracker.. Your flippin link listed India as the 2nd worst in actual murders at 40 fricking thousand..
My numbnuts comment was spot on apparently.

Because dishonest pieces of shite like you do take everything he says out of context.

If we had those actual answers we'd have our solutions to combat it..

I mean if you don’t think trump’s racist rhetoric isn’t emboldening people like this shooter then I don’t know what to tell you.
I also disagree that his rhetoric is racist in the first place and I don't even rock with Trump that hard.

Are you obtuse. India has a billion more people than the US. Of course the total number of murders is higher. Per capital their rate is lower. Can you understand that?

Just read the shooters own words. He’s a racist POS.

The guys manifesto is anti capitalist and pro environment so I doubt he was a big fan of the Trump.

I really hate how these threads turn political.
Pretty much any shooting thread turns that way. There was a pretty civil discussion going on about what motivates these people to start mowing innocent lives down but then you got people like Sanfordhog who are coming in out of no where blaming trump and putting quotes out of context to assign blame.
The dude was a nutcase that clearly was torn on ideologies on both sides of the isle (based on the manifesto). What he did was absolutely disgusting and I hope Texas fries his arse.

It doesn’t happen “often” at all. A few incidents a year, while terrible and heartbreaking, doesn’t constitute as “often” considering our population and freedoms.

Not really. What it devolves into is the right to bear arms crowd attacks anyone that doesn’t have a viewpoint that perfectly aligns with theirs. It’s not a discussion at all. It’s people taking sides.
frick. Maybe I’m part of that. In my mind I’m not but obviously that line of thinking isn’t translating well.
Peace to all of you. No ill will intended.

That shooting in Gilroy hit close to home for a lot of people in the Bay Area. Then this one today, and the same usual dumb, rote responses. America never answers the hard questions. Why do we have such an unholy fetish for guns, violence, ignorance, and hatred?
The soul of this nation is rotten.

You post a quote saying trump is calling all immigrants animals/rapists/criminals when he never said that. He is talking about a select group of some illegal immigrants...

People seem to enjoy projecting evil on the opposing party when in reality evil is politically indifferent. But hey, never let a good tragedy go to waste.
