Totally agree. Quit putting dope heads and mentally ill people in jail for misdemeanor crimes and start putting them through rehab/treatment

If people are going to make the argument that you’re born gay, which is a mental illness, then that’s no different than saying you’re born with a mental illness and society triggers actions that cause you to act on those tendencies

Problem is, we don’t have enough mental institutions or qualified people to deal with the amount of the mentally ill population

It's difficult to ignore what appears to be a person on the scene of a fresh mass shooting walking around filming while others lie dying and seemingly one small lady tries to get bystanders to help turn victims over and help with compressions.
Hopefully the critical needs of your loved ones are never ignored in favor of documenting his or her tragedy to post on social media.

Everyone tries to lay blame in these situations to one thing. When in reality, it’s a series of misfortunes, failures, and oversight in their life that led to this.
It’s basically the “swiss cheese effect”. Where if you stacked 20 slices of Swiss cheese on top of each other, the chances of you seeing the table through overlapping holes is very slim. But it’s still possible.
Those 20 slices are all factors that bring someone to commit mass murder and you need all 20 to click...otherwise it never happens.
Gladwell talks about this in one of his books.
