Now they are saying this kid drove 10 hours from somewhere else just to shoot up El Paso because it's a Hispanic town.

Doesn’t seem like it would take a 10 hour drive from Dallas to find Hispanics.

Uhh, it's pretty likely in a packed walmart with 10 checkout lines and people lined 5-6 deep.
Plus it looks like he put 3 down outside, as he entered.

About 14k and been in that range since the late 90's.

In the 80's, we were in the mid 20k+ range a year even though the population was only 200,000,000 back then. We have a hundred million more people now and still less overall murders. It's been a success story that no one on either side talks about for some reason.

We do have more mass shootings, though.

There were 14,603 murders from January to June, versus the 13,985 homicides registered in the first six months of 2018, according to data posted over the weekend on the website of Mexico's national public security office.

Mexico is on course to surpass the 29,111 murders of last year, an all-time high.

We average around 13,000 a year so I'd guess about half of that.

It's fascinating how conservatives hope brown people did this and liberals hope white people did.

Now they're going to bed
And my stomach is sick
And it's all in my head
But she's touching his chest now
He takes off her dress now
Let me go
And I just can't look, it's killing me
And taking control

17k or so in 2016. Mexico has 129 million and the US has 327.

Murders are way down from the US crack epidemic of the 70s-90s. The US is a relatively safe country if you don't live in a bad area of about 15-20 cities. Gun ownership is at an all time high too.

Are we really going to debate what country is safer, US v Mexico?

It’s not even a question
