Maybe the St. Georgians should be required to pay entry fees to EBR Parish to attend LSU games.
Since St. George isn't leaving East Baton Rouge, you've got a deal.

Actually, I think they are offering to form a new parish for St George.
Put Central and Zachary in there too and I think we have a winner. EBR can limp along with BR and Baker.

So you really don't understand that this city will still be in EBR Parish? How on earth are people this bad with stuff like this yet purport to be functioning adults?
That's exactly why the Broomites wanted this to be a parish wide vote. Enough idiots that see an ad or read a flyer and take it to be gospel.

"The message is that we'd make more progress overall if we work together."
And when they had the chance to incorporate this area, they incorporated a portion of the Mall and Shaw group.

But if you add in unincorporated Moss Bluff to LC....

MOP must not have gotten that memo, because she actively solicited the hospitals and other businesses to seek annexation.

There was actually a neighborhood off of Coursey that requested to be annexed into BR a few years back.

Her and the Kipster did and of course he denied it (on video)

During the first effort, some homeowners did. the city of BR only incorporated the businesses and left homeowners out. When the city annexed the casino, mall, etc. it was the first time it annexed anything in 30 years. Once has to ask, why didn't they annex any neighborhoods that wanted to be a part of BR or just not the whole area?

Yes amid fears of big bad racist St. George raising their taxes because, you know, taxes in EBR don't go up

After they were solicited and asked to do so. That's not how its supposed to work.

It came up at my old neighborhood's HOA meeting back during St. George 1.0... but I don't think there was a quorum. There never was. I think in 4 years we had a quorum once on a second meeting attempt.
Then we were out of the boundaries of St. George 2.0, maybe the idea of petitioning to be annexed (one way or another) will come back up, but I'm out and it's not my concern anymore.

Why don't you ask Kip why, if soliciting for annexation is ethical, he lied about doing so?

I think they've been pretty clear that they too don't like the status quo, but don't believe that splitting up the city is the answer. The message is that we'd make more progress overall if we work together.
The message does not match the actions. The opposition fights for EXACTLY the status quo.

East EBR (EEBR)? Or Northeast EBR (NEEBR)?
