reminds me of this book that I read a few years ago. Great book btw.
Hope that they find her alive, but this doesn't look good.

Her husband let the family they found her alive and safe but no details other then that. The family is very happy right now but something just seems off.

Now that we know she’s safe. I can begin to inquire. Was it Sasquatch that got her?

Congrats. I bet she has a new outlook on the value of life and moves out of Jackson now.

This was from earlier today
Efforts continued Monday to find a Mississippi woman thought to be missing in Sequoia National Park in California.
Mary Joanna Gomez, 56, traveled to California for a nursing assignment, and headed to Sequoia and adjacent Kings Canyon national parks on October 23, her day off. Her last communication with family was on October 24 when she text messaged her daughter with photos taken in different areas of Kings Canyon, park staff said.
She was expected back to work on October 25, missed her shift, and her family reported her missing to the San Francisco Police Department.
The woman was seen in the Giant Forest of Sequoia National Park on Saturday morning, according to park staff. That night, shortly before midnight, her vehicle was located along the Generals Highway near a trailhead in the Little Baldy area by a park ranger. It had not been at that trailhead earlier in the day.
The Little Baldy Trail offers a 4-mile hike that leads to an 8,044-foot summit that provides sweeping vistas of Sequoia.
Multiple teams on Monday were actively searching the area surrounding her vehicle with search dogs, aircraft, and search teams on foot. Her husband and daughter arrived in Kings Canyon on Sunday and were with NPS staff.
Something seems off to me because a park ranger staffer claims to seen her hiking early Saturday morning and they found her vehicle around midnight that same day when they went by the same spot earlier and the car wasn’t there. I am eager to hear all the details

Well, for starters, where was she found?

I can’t seem to find the update on pg 3

Sorry page 2. We don’t have the answers right now where they found her or what happened. I know her immediate family went to California and once they settle down I’m sure I will hear something later.

Sounds to me like she could have been on a Vision Quest/Walkabout. Or shrooms. Or existential crisis.

My money is on a selfie pic gone wrong

Just heard that she spelled out SOS with rocks and the plane saw it 3 miles away. She also was 4 miles away from her vehicle. My mawmaw told me it got down in the teens at night. Luckily, she had a jacket on. They said she was hungry, thirsty, and cold but she was still in good health. I haven’t heard how she got lost or what happened.

So glad she was found safe...that could have been a tragedy!

What’s the whole story?
Peyote, shrooms, bad sense of direction or just taking a walk on the wild side?

For her to spell out SOS if I had to guess she got lost but I don’t know the whole story yet. She spent five days and 4 nights without food and water. I can’t imagine going through that but she is the adventurous type so I’m sure she knew what to do in that situation. The family is happy she is safe and nothing happened.
