Negative cases would be hilarious.

It likely wouldn't happen with PCR testing. At some point, you're going to have more false positives than actual positives.

Sunday & it’s an indoor visit

Even though they have a case reported in the last 14 days indoor visits are allowed depending on circumstances
Prob getting it wrong but if case is asymptomatic or still testing positive after so many days of symptoms...

Awesome ... I hope you get to sneak a hug in. Just do it and say "oh crap I forgot".

EDIT and bring Kleenex .. it'll probably be emotional for you both and hard for you both when you leave as well.

The have negative cases

They have negative cases every day which means they over counted the day before. If you follow the cases in each Parish (I record them daily) you will see this. Example, on September 21 the total to date cases reported in East Feliciana was 1731 but on September 22 the number was 1718 for a -13. If you go Parish by Parish the negative number for September 22 was -28. This happens every day.

Numbers too good.. brb fixing them

This is the first thing I thought of when they said that they were being verified cause you know if the numbers were elevated it would have not been a problem

Based on the cases by collection date, there are currently 5,476 positive test collected on or after September 9th. The 9th had the most positive test at 706.

I downloaded the data, and came up with 157,223 daily case count that is older than 14 days. Assuming all current hospitalizations are from test older than 14 days, then the current case count is:

162,645 - 157,223 + 592 = 4,830.

There are less than 5,000 active cases in Louisiana.

I thought they normally updated that “cases by collection” data every week on Wednesdays? Shouldn’t it be up to 9/16 now?

Yes it should. They had issues this morning so maybe at some point they'll update the data download file.
