Nah. His name is Steve. I'm not bending the knee to the alphabet gang to accommodate their mental illness.

I understand the sentiment, but people go by names other than their given name all the time. Do you call him Cassius Clay, or Muhammad Ali?

We already have a gender neutral pronoun, "it"

Fine. My new pronouns are Your Majesty/You Excellency. And I better hear them are you’re fired.

Playing their game and beating them at it can be quite entertaining.

I once had a lady of the minority persuasion insist I call her "Doctor" because she had an EdD from some online diploma mill. Raised all kinds of hell about it.

I agreed to her demand that she be referred to by her highest degree of education and insisted she do the same...and call me "Master."

But no chromosome to prove it nor an assignment at birth.

BATON ROUGE — A man claimed he was unfairly fired from his job after he refused to use the pronouns that another employee said they used.

Luke Ash, a former library employee and pastor, said he knows that what he did was against the library's code of conduct for employees, but he says calling his co-workers by the pronouns they identify with would be against his own beliefs.

Ash worked at the library for fewer than six months. He was fired Thursday after having a conversation with a co-worker about another co-worker. In the conversation he refused to refer to the second co-worker by their proper pronouns.

Self inflicted pain for the library manager/supervisor. If Ash was there for less than 6 months, he was still probational and they didn't need cause to fire.

They/Them can be singular if you don't now which of the two genders a person is.

A friend says: "I asked my boss for a raise today."
You reply: "What did they say?"

But we know exactly who we are addressing here. I'm not using a plural pronoun to describe a singular.
