How can the tax paying people in BR stand for this??

I don't think a lot of the voters understood the level of frickery that was going on until after the vote took place. It basically passed in the MC at the absolute last second. Thanks Freiberg.

While most aren't happy. It's a relatively small millage. Still unnecessary, but not worth moving over.

Also, the last like 3 mayors of New Roads are in jail for stealing from taxpayers

I can't stand that stupid bitch, but she needs to be voted out next election for her vote on that alone.

I'm sure SWB had her staff pass along their estimate for their lunch meeting catering budget and she used that number

People need to get those signatures going, to repeal this asinine bill.

I cannot believe the jackasses who voted for it, and we have many on here who did. And now are dumbfounded. LOL

The stories coming out of COA this year will be hilarious, Tarsha and her friends have no shame or self awareness. I suspect Tarsha will not be the only six figure salary anymore.

Was it two or three "Executive Assistants" she hired after the tax passed? First thing she did is make sure she doesn't have to work much in the future.

Pretty sure she has already started pushing for a larger salary for herself as well as hiring more to executive positions. I'd be willing to bet that the majority of their budget will be spent on overhead.

Clark-Amar's salary is $112,197, according to the agency's latest audit.

quote:

Gilmore will earn a $90,000 salary to serve as the Council on Aging's chief administrative officer,

quote:

It showed that the Council on Aging finished 2017 further in the hole than last year, with a deficit of $224,520.

So they had an additional 4.5 million in revenue from the previous year but still managed to squander it and end up in the red owing $225,000.

Any bets on COA running a deficit in 2018?

Well, in order to pay off your buddies with government money, you have to hire someone who knows how to pay off buddies with government money. Gilmore seems to be good at that.
