Well a couple of posters illustrated in previous posts that our large population is destroying ecosystems with population. What good is the size of Earth if we can't maintain it?

just addressing to the overpopulation question, I'm still waiting for my appointment from Trump before I'll start working on that

It's a non issue.

There is more food for more people than ever and the Earth is greening, because we don't have to burn trees for heat anymore and we don't need nearly the same amout of acerage to grow food.

It is over populated now. No worries, it always seems to correct itself with a plague.

What shortage of energy are you worried about? We have more oil and gas than we know what to do with and more being discovered every day.
We could even go back to coal or move forward with nuclear energy if we ever really needed to

Care to share the empirical evidence you have to disprove them?
Typically they are based on a false premise, which is why the Population Bomb predictions bombed.

Innovation and technological advancements are often non-linear and unpredictable. They are an unknown that cannot be adequately accounted for in any prediction.

Efforts have been made to estimate the amount of land needed to sustain an average individual human (link). A person living the lifestyle of an average American requires almost 24 acres, ten times the world per capita share.

Bottom Line: For everyone presently on this planet to enjoy the lifestyle of an average American, we would need about ten planet Earths. We have only one. For everyone to live like an American, Earth can only support about one-tenth as many people. To increase the average quality of life, the number of people on Earth must be reduced.

Mother nature will find a way.

She tried with AIDS, but Magic Johnson cured that shite. She's probably trying to bring back dinosaurs. We need to be dropped from the top of the food chain.

The carrying capacity of earth has always changed as technology has developed. 100 years ago we couldn't sustain 1/10th of the current population, yet we're doing fine today. Technology will develop or we will start to populate other planets

Any overpopulation problem will take care of itself through disease or war.

You completely skipped over the part where I specifically named energy surrounding food production. Food IS a form of energy. Certain forms of agriculture take an incredible amount of resources. This is a much bigger issue than fossil fuels.
