This may have already been said... but it's possible your early voting site includes people voting on ballots that don't include the St. George question.

I know in Da Parish, everyone early votes at one place.

There are several locations in the parish where a voter registered in EBR can vote.
They have every possible ballot. They know your precinct and the “key card” they hand you opens your ballot.

You could live in Zachary and vote on Essen at the State Archives Building and receive the correct ballot.

Black people voted 89% for the democratic party in the last presidential election. 93% in the previous election

Looks like they are starting to trend republican.

That's what I was thinking, but didn't know for sure how it worked there.

So, the OPs noticing a bunch of people that, shall we say, don't fit the demographic of the average St George supporter... those people may not have even voted on the St. George question.

Exactly
Each polling place is a parish wide polling place.

Locations:
City Hall St Louis Street
Central Library
Coursey Fire Station
State Archives
Baker DMV

Five locations in EBR that any voter can access.

I like the State Archives, they let me come and go while Coursey and Baker checked me out too close. City Hall doesn’t care either, but it’s hard to get a parking place. Central wouldn’t let me in.

Can’t you early vote anywhere? The people voting there might not live in St George.

Older folks are more likely to vote, more likely to want the status quo and are more likely to buy into the BS anti SG folks are pushing.

They read the paper, they watch local news, and the opposition has targeted them for their votes.

Vote people

Sweet stereotypes baw. Old people are why Brexit won.

How do you know they were democrats?

Many years ago I made a post about their being few Democrats in West St Tammany. I was talking about Democrats relative to Republicans re: voting history etc., which is fact BTW.
Rohan to Reed, who I always thought was a good poster, roasted me b/c he thought I was making a reference to black people. I didn't know OT slang for black people was Democrat.

I think he eventually realized the point I was making, but it showed me how emotional people can get and how quick they can seize on any comment to show they're "right".

It shows their inherent racism. It’s similar to saying minorities need special treatment. Why do people who look different than me need special treatment? Are you saying they are less than me because they look different than me? I believe that’s racism by the textbook definition.

Yep. Old people believe the bullshite on WBRZ and in The Advocate. If it’s on the news they believe it. Trying to tell them that pretty much all the real information won’t be found in The Advocate or Fox News is a battle you’ll never win.

I have no idea why they’re so gullible. You’d think after so many years of life they’d learn to ask questions, but whatever.
