Early St. George voting demographics

Just cast my vote yes, but was shocked by the number of older people and democrats. Granted I went when that group of people will be heavy because those with children in school who are more likely to vote yes are likely of a working age, but don’t take this thing for granted.
Every vote counts and is needed, go get it done now. Lunch break, leave the office early, whenever you can. Don’t take the support on here as a lock that it will happen, make sure to go out and vote!
ETA: The answers below to the people that I was referring to race when I said Democrats so you don’t have to read the whole thread.
“Some were educated guesses based on the dyed hair, tattoos, and piercings. Some were openly talking about who they were voting for while we stood in line, one lady was waving around her ballot notes for all to see. Context clues.”
“There was only one African American within 10 people of me, and it was a majority of old folks by a large margin. The counter culture caucasians who history has showed us are majority Democrat outnumbered African Americans, and then you had the people openly talking about what they were voting for.
Take what you want and spin it, but race was never brought up in my post.”

I'm guessing black people = democrats. And they may well have been voting against.

Older folks are more likely to vote, more likely to want the status quo and are more likely to buy into the BS anti SG folks are pushing.
They read the paper, they watch local news, and the opposition has targeted them for their votes.

Quite true. Contrary to the myth being put forward by City Hall, of course it is anecdotal, but I've seen several black people on NextDoor saying why they intend to vote for incorporation.

Why. I'm not saying it.
I'm just pointing out that using "Democrats" in its place is equally as racist.

One group is known to vote for a political party at a 95%+ clip.
If you are to point this out, you are racist.

Considering it's still early voting... you have no idea if those people are even in St. George and can vote on the issue.
