The reason Dylan Mulvaney is causing backlash is because he's playing to a ridiculous stereotype. His woman-act takes on the demeanor, drama, and intellectuality of a 12y/o airhead. It's overt, and it's insulting.
His schtick is demeaning to women in the same way blackface stereotypes in minstrel shows were insulting to Blacks. The fact he's an attention whore displacing actual women in ads and opportunities just makes it that much more obnoxious.

Look I'll somewhat defend Winston here. If all you see of Dylan is the highly photoshopped red carpet pictures with professional make up jobs I can kind of understand where he's coming from. I would argue that professional make up and Photoshop are cheat codes. Hell all you have to do is looking up female celebrities or porn stars before and after makeup.
