This is what Sunday School said would happen if you do that too much.

Scandinavian background
I have it and descend from Scandinavian blood lines. My doc said to live with until it becomes too painful to take. Several ways to treat it. I’m about there now.

Radiation therapy is a great option, I would get a referral to a radiation oncologist.

There are much more effective and cheaper options than radiation. Radiation isn't recommended very much anymore by most hand surgeons. Needle aponeurotomy or mini open cord resection are the most effective procedures long term with lower complication rates. Xiaflex has very high recurrence rates. Not many hand surgeons still doing xiaflex routinely anymore either due to high cost and recurrence rates to match!

It’s hereditary and comes from Scandinavian background mostly. Relative had it and had it it both hands. He accidentally banged it on something in the shop and broke one hand loose.
None in my family that I know of have it with our Scandinavian side.

.
Can still feel some bumps, but gained full use of my hand. The other hand has minor issues, but have left it alone and is fine.
That was quite a while back. Finger tip dexterity is different recently, but that may be because of age.

If any of you are in need of surgery, I highly reccomend Dr. Bryce Fugarino in Lafayette

When I saw you’re a Bama fan, I wondered if it was due to inbreeding.
ChatGPT promptly explained it has a strong genetic link.

It’s not just the tissue that is connected. Y’all need to stop fricking your cousins. At least stick to anal.

Yes it stings a bit when I put my hand on a flat surface. I can live with it for now. Might try to fix it soon.

quote:Sounds very similar to mine right now. Looks and feels like a callous, just slowly getting bigger over time. I like to strum my guitar and swing my golf clubs. So far it hasn't been a problem, but i can certainly sense it there. It isn't painful, but it is present and therefore starting to be disruptive. I want to address it now if possible. My doctor is -"We will operate when it gets really bad. Until then you just have to live with it.". If anyone has a specific medication they use please feel free to share.
It’s happening on my left hand just below my ring and middle finger. My dad had this same issue. I’m 54 now. An orthopedic surgeon I work with said he wouldn’t treat it until it started to affect me being able to extend my finger. I know there is some medication that can be injected into the site to slow the progression.

A surgeon is going to recommend surgery. Imagine that.

I have this condition. Its best to skip surgery, just have a doc use a needle to break up the connective tissue. Lets you extend your hand back out.
That’s interesting. I have the bump but it hasn’t progressed yet. Almost certainly due to tennis due to its placement. I’m super freaked out about it because a surgery on my left hand (different condition) was a horrible & painful experience. I need to find a specialist in the DFW area but have been avoiding it bc I don’t want the down time. I’m playing my best tennis right now and think I should wait but don’t want it to develop into an actual claw hand.
