My Mom used to be a Nurse Assistant Instructor. One day she had a lady in her class named Female(pronounced feh-ma-lee). She asked her about her name as it was unique. She explained the Government named her. As my Mom pressed her she figured out and deduced that on the birth certificate, where it would say something vague like "Female Jones" or "Male Williams"...her Mom thought the Government had named her Female. What a dunce!

Went to elementary school with a kid whos mother was a total nazi in her insistence that we never abbreviate his name.
