In the South, Louisiana is the worst, especially that i20 stretch. Just miserable and boring.

Kansas and Iowa are horrible but Little Rock to Baton Rouge is horrendous- red lights everywhere and two lane highways for 400 miles

I've always found the drive from Pensacola to Jacksonville pretty sucky.

I'm in west Texas now visiting in laws and meeting with some customers. It's been pretty pleasurable driving around. Granted it's more pleasurable driving around central west Texas.

I have no idea how big trucks make it up the mountains going into California. That stretch coming in from Vegas is like a 10 mile section uphill, and the part between San Diego and AZ is like a 15% grade

Going down those grades can be scary in a 80,000 pound vehicle.

Driving all the way up through Illinois on 55 is fricking terrible.

I live in the middle of the state and 55 runs through my town. I agree, it is horrible. Winter is the worst. You cant even see stuff growing then.

IMO it is worse going North than going South. The drive from here to Chicago (140 miles) is brutal.

My personal least favorite is I-81 through Virginia.....particularly before they raised the speed limit to 70....lots of speed traps

Dullest:

Illinois
Iowa
Kansas
Nebraska

Worst:
Illinois (around Chicago)
Georgia (around Atlanta)
California (Around SF/Oakland)
New York (around NYC)

Ohio in winter. Seriously looks like a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Kansas for dullest, plus their highway patrol is fricking brutal with ticketing.

I would imagine LA and NY rush hour would be the worst by far.

I guess I am more amazed at people that have never driven outside of Louisiana or at least the southeast.

This thread is filed with people who name off local interstates as boring. Seriously, our west and the upper midwest make LA interstates look like amusement parks.

Texas from Wichita Falls to the NM state line is the worst I've come across.

I love that drive.

10 through the panhandle is terrible.

The most boring drive would definitely be out west, probably in Nevada
